Benjamino finds clarity in motion with effervescent new single Alpine Air
Benjamino continues their 2025 release streak with Alpine Air – an upbeat, soul-lifting track that captures the blissful momentum of an ADHD flow state, where every ounce of energy is dialled into a single, exhilarating task.
Melding nu-disco, dream pop, and funk with the Sydney-based artist’s signature lyrical charm, Alpine Air is a celebration of hyperfocus, internal encouragement, and creative ignition. From the moment the first chords hit, the track radiates joy, clarity, and drive.
“The moment I played the opening chords I knew exactly what this song would be about,” says Benjamino. “Those first two chords are like a cool wave washing over you, and it didn't take long to construct the rest of it.”
Benjamino’s understanding of ADHD came into focus over the last 12 months, offering long-overdue clarity around years of creative intensity, deep focus, and periods of burnout. As a producer, working with artists such as Miramar, Ash Grunwald and Lorna, they have found ways to take advantage of the unique rhythms of their mind, as well as alleviate the limitations that ADHD comes with.
A self-produced effort, Alpine Air was recorded across A Sharp Studios, Kiln Studios, and Offbeat Collective in Sydney. The track features bright piano lines, dreamy synths, and funky guitar licks – all performed by Benjamino – alongside intricate, high-energy drumming from longtime collaborator Kieran Parker (Big Wheels, Daisy Pring). The result is a feel-good anthem designed to move feet and lift spirits.
“Kieran and I layed down the drums and bass just before Christmas, and it was such a great creative environment. I was experimenting with the amazing hardware at A Sharp, Kieran was trying new things on the drums, and all of that just helped to breathe further life into the song.”
Alpine Air follows a string of acclaimed 2025 singles including In The Shadows, 9 Minutes, Whataboutism, Boring With You, and Thrill of the Chase – each showcasing a new angle of Benjamino’s ever-evolving sound. With consistent national and community radio support, praise from Triple J, and a landmark 2024 support slot for Coldplay, Benjamino’s momentum continues to build.
The single is the fifth release in a monthly rollout leading up to their highly anticipated debut album Cucino, out in November 2025.
Thrill of the Chase will be available on all streaming platforms on May 30, 2025.
About Benjamino
Benjamino’s entire career has been immersed in music—from teaching five-year-olds their first piano notes to recording world-renowned artists, they’ve seen every side of the industry. As a producer, songwriter, and session musician, Benjamino has spent the past decade shaping sounds for multiple artists before stepping into the spotlight with their debut EP, Open Up The Vault.
Since then, Benjamino has captivated Indie Soul fans across the globe, earning a reputation for crafting tracks rich in vibe, groove, and lyrical wit. Paying tribute to their Italian heritage, Cucino (meaning “I cook”) promises to serve up a feast of rich storytelling, captivating production, and the signature warmth that fans have come to recognise from Benjamino.
About OPIA
OPIA, also previously known as ‘BB’ has had a career that has crossed oceans. Collaborating with artists, and producers from both the Australian, and ‘K-Pop’ South Korean music scenes, she’s an artist that has been in and out of studios for the past decade. As a vocalist, she’s known for her clean, cut through pop vocals and ability to effortlessly ‘double track’ her own vocal takes. Working as a sync writer the last few years, OPIA is now working on releasing music with fellow bandmates from ‘Midnight Mare and the Riders’.
