About

Benjamino and meadowhip arms outstretched

Artist

Benjamino is the genre-bending project of Sydney-based artist, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Benjamin Cauduro. Known for their rich blend of alt-R&B, nu-disco and dream pop, Benjamino crafts tracks that are both deeply introspective and made to move. Their music is packed with groove, wit, and a cinematic sense of emotion – blending intricate production with bold, heartfelt storytelling.

A seasoned audio engineer and lifelong musician, Benjamino has spent the past decade in the studio and on the stage, working with local and international artists and performing all across Australia. After years of writing and producing for others, Benjamino began releasing solo material in 2020, gradually establishing a sound that’s playful, polished, and unmistakably their own.

After collaborating with fellow alt-R&B artist meadowhip for On Repeat, they set sail on an East Coast tour of Australia, selling out shows in Brisbane, Melbourne and their hometown of Wollongong. The two also united for collaboration shows at the Coldplay event at Sydney Olympic Park in November 2024.

In 2025, they launched their most ambitious project yet: a series of monthly singles leading up to their debut album Cucino, due out in November. Named after the Italian word for “I cook,” the record is a lovingly crafted sonic meal – layered with lush production, playful storytelling, and emotional depth.

Producer

With nearly a decade in the recording industry, Benjamino has just about done it all. Since 2024, Benjamino has spent most of their time producing established and up-and-coming artists at A Sharp Recording Studio, Kiln Studios and Offbeat Collective in Sydney, Australia. Aside from this, they have also had the pleasure of:

  • Recording and Mixing live broadcasts at the Sydney Opera House, for iconic artists including Arlo Parks, Vance Joy, Camp Cope and Martha Marlow.

  • Frolicking in the mud of North Byron Parklands at the 2022 Splendour in the Grass festival, recording international acts for Triple J.

  • Voice-Over recording for Disney Plus, Netflix and ABC productions, working with household names such Deborah Mailman, Adam Demos and Margaret Throsby.

  • Editing and recording Audiobooks for publishing houses such as Penguin Random House Australia.

Lil’ Sweetie

Benjamino (known by friends, family and the government as Benjamin Cauduro) made their start in life and career on the sunny shores of Dharawal/Wollongong. Since then, Ben has made the move to the big smoke of Sydney. Outside of music, they somehow find the time for other interests. These include;

  • Languages - having mastered English a few years ago they’re now learning Italian and French.

  • Sport - whether it’s watching the Wallabies lose again, or dreaming of representing Australia at the 2032 Olympics for European Handball, he can’t get enough of it.

  • Film & Television - favourites include Life Is Beautiful (La Vita È Bella), Severance and When Harry Met Sally.

  • Food - you may have noticed the references to food on the home page? Yeah, Ben really likes food!

“I had the privilege and honor to work with Ben on a live concert performance. What seemed like a big task was handled with ease, grace, and clear communication. With so many songs to work through, Ben was extremely receptive, welcoming, and enthusiastic to make a few tweaks across the 90 minutes of music which he beautifully mixed and mastered.”
